Papi-Poo Breed Review by Marc Alfini
This site rated them as ‘low’ in activity. Mine had boundless energy, even when she got into her senior years. Luckily, for her I was very active. At the same time if I sat in my reclining chair for hours she would sit with me entire time.

I have a 7-month-old black and white pappipoo and we just LOVE him so much. He is so playful,, loves to cuddle, and is overall a happy dog. He and my Maltipoo just play and play all day long, he is also great with my 8-year-old grandson. Highly recommend one for a young family with kids.

Papi-poos are the best breed I have ever had. They are so playful, cute, and are always there when you are sad and need a friend. I think that Papi-Poo is a great choice of dog. I have been begging my husband for another one. Especially from greenfieldpuppies.com.

I have owned 4 Papillons in my lifetime. And then one day, we found a Papi-Poo. OMG!! Put that intelligence of a Papillon with a Poodle, you have an amazing animal. Plus that silky soft coat of the Papillon and it doesn't shed!!! Our little guy is fearless, playful, mellow when needed and the biggest kisser we have ever had. I adore every one of my little angels. But this guy doesn't have the separation anxiety of two of my Paps. Nor the fear of riding in a car. And he absolutely LOVES anyone that gets near him. All of my Paps were wonderful in each of their ways. But Jackson, he has all of the wonderfulness rolled up in one little velvety furry bundle of awesomeness.

Love my papipoo. We got him at a pet store (yes... I know) but he’s 13 now. Still as cute, smart, cuddly and family friendly as ever. Can be jealous of those he loves. Never leaves my side, but gets a little possessive when the cat wants to snuggle (he will get as close to me as possible to show her that he’s in charge.. but never aggressive). Can be anxious at times (just a little unsettled) but usually just when we’re on vacation and he is staying with our friends. Gets along well with ALL animals.. and by gets along I mean he really doesn’t acknowledge. Literally.... a dog, cat, squirrel etc. could come up to him and he would pay no mind... except for the above scenario. Again.. loves attention. Never trained to do so, but he never runs away. We live in a huge development.. no leash needed. Every now and then will he end up in the neighbors yard but comes quick when called. Never out to the road. He also has a great memory. Mostly interested in humans (and food.. he’s a begger). He’s also a great watch dog. He will only bark at outside noises if someone is inside the house. If the house is empty and you come home, not a peep. Listens when you tell him to quiet. The only cons are that he needs his coat trimmed and washed often, once a month/every other or his eyes get a little goopy and stinky. Also, can be TOO clingy. On lap, in bed, follows around everywhere etc. He also has had problems with his trachea since a pup. We’ve never had to spend any money on surgeries, but requires a harness instead of a collar and gets coughing fits if he’s too excited or walks for too long. He also has hip problems but only since he’s been about 10 years old. He requires 1-2 days worth of baby aspirin every few months when his back hip gets hurting him. All in all, I don’t consider the cons “cons” at all. I will never own another breed in my life. 5 stars all the way.

This breed is very smart and trains easily. They are very sweet and loyal. They also make a great watch dog and will alert you to other people that are around your surroundings. Great for people with allergies because they do not shed. Great with kids and other dogs. Just a wonderful dog!

Positives: Very active and healthy. Affectionate and wants to be on or with they people she loves. Easy to travel with. She loves to go on bike rides. I can put her in my backpack (head sticking out). She is also easy to fly with. She counts as carry on. I can let her off the lease and she doesn't run off. If I go to a field and kick a soccer ball around, she'll chase it all day. She also loves the beach and swims in the water sometimes. Negatives: She doesn't like to interact with other active dogs, but fine around old dogs though. She's a little wary around strangers, but will be happy to accept a treat from them. She barks a lot, but is a great alarm system. Tends to be jealous of those she loves, and is often stubborn and hard headed.
