I owned a Newfie/black lab mix, he was probably the most intelligent and well behaved dog I have ever owned, at about 9 years old he contacted cancer and we had to put him down, the vet said this was common in labs. I have not had a dog since , about ten years. We are wanting another Newfie or a Newfie mixed, I would like to buy for my wife for Christmas. Can you help me?

We got a puppy from a shelter, thinking it was a lab/spaniel, ended up being a lab/newfie mix. He is the best, teddy bear pet ever. He's in his last years and we would love to find the same mix! :-(
