We fostered Chewie, because we didn’t really want to raise a dog forever. He was found on a freeway in Los Angeles, and had been hit by a car. Was transferred up to Oregon where I had just taken the “class” the day before. We adopted Chewie and loved him so very much. He passed away last January and we kiss him so! He was perfect❤️ My husband and I are old now, but would love to spend our days with another Wheaton Terrier like Chewie.

We owned a whoodle. He lived 15 years and 9 months and maintained a weight of 32.5 lbs throughout his adult life with very little fluctuation. He was the perfect dog, easy to train, highly intelligent and had a huge vocabulary in French and English. We were warned about shy/skiddish Wheaton traits and worked to socialize him and expose him to household and community sounds. He was perfect socially and only remained shy of fireworks or loud noises. He could not digest poultry products which required special diet, but was fairly easy to manage. He bonded with 3 generations of family and was especially good with babies, children and other pets. He travelled extremely well, self regulated his diet and only ate when hungry. Quick to potty train and learn household manners. He was loving and desired constant companions when we were around, following us from room to room. He did well alone also. Our vet used him to calm other animals, called him the chaplain of their clinic. He was the most compassionate and sensitive animal we ever experienced. Grooming was a little high maintenance, but his coat was like human hair and non-shedding. He was loved and bonded with friends and neighbors. He loved to run and play but was moderate in his exercise demands. He did well in fenced yards and on leash. He lived a routine. He had excellent non verbal communication —i cans find sufficient words to describe his use of his eyes, head and body language. He learned to open baby gates inside the house that required two hands for humans. We never knew how he did it. He did have a stubborn streak and strong will. It was never a problem. It took about the first five years to moderate his “Wheaton-greetin’ “ but eventually he was trained not to jump up to greet people. He was the perfect combination of Wheaton sweetness and poodle intelligence and grace. We miss him terribly.

We are first time dog owners and loved our neighbors mini whoodle. We bought a healthy puppy from David and Rachel Fisher from this site. Our puppy is 7m old now, growing well and healthy. The Fishers are a nice family and we had a very pleasant experience with them. Our whoodle is very friendly with kids & has lots of energy. He has traits of a Wheaton such as jumping up to say hello ... the "Wheaton greetin", and traits of a poodle such as standing on his back 2 legs and almost walking. He barks more than other breeds and I'm told this is a wheetie trait. He's very very smart and trainable though like poodles. Overall, we love him, his personality, and all his traits. We will definitely get this breed again.

I have owned a mini-whoodle for the last 10 years and she is a great dog. She will go the park and run around and play or sleep til noon with me. She is great with kids (we have three boys). She is small enough to pick up and carry but not so small that the kids could accidentally hurt her...I call her the little cinder block.

I lost my wonder Wheaten 3 months ago and I because physically sick with my legs using a cane from stress of losing him. I miss him very much but he died 11 1/2 years old to young. I would love a Whoodle becasuse it's may live longer and support me. I am on anixety pills and depression because of my wonder Casey who lost his life to Sarcoma cancer of the spleen and the liver. I am looking for a whoodle trained because i raised 4 dogs and now i am pushing 70. Probably 6 or 8 months. Rescue that needs a home around 40 pds. Medium size. Apricot or White and chocolate with white spots on his paws and half his face. thanks

We have a Whoodle and after 2 years - our lives are so much better for having him. He has a very friendly personality and wants to be everyone's friend. He does love to cuddle and will give us gentle nose butts when he wants attention. He absolutely loves the snow and doesn't like squirrels - particularly those that invade our deck. We have had other breeds and now would have no other. What a gift he is.

We have never owned a mini doodle dog. We were the proud owners owners of a Wheaton. We loved her but she died in February due to heart disease. It has taken all of these months. to get over the shock, but it is now time to move on and give another dog some love.

Wanting to check out these dogs. I use to have a standard poodle for 13 1/2 yrs but she passed away from cancer. Interested in getting a smaller dog. But the dog can’t shed or have dandruff as I’m allergic to those kind of dogs. Dogs have to be able to be groomed. Allergic to dogs that have fur.

I researched dogs for about 2 years trying to find a perfect fit for our family. A dog not too large, non shedding/hypoallergenic, due to some severe dog allergies in our home and a good temperament. Our mini whoodle is everything we wanted in a dog,. She is the most loving, smart and fun dog I have ever been around. She loves my children as if she mothered them. At 8 months old, she is already jumping in a lake after my girls to make sure they are safe.

We got our 17 week old, Mini Whoodle in April 2018. She has been an amazing puppy. Her disposition is very mello and adaptable. She has been quite responsive to general training and took to crate training extremely well. We have three children who handle her constantly without complaint. She has been a joy. She has just enough sassy personality to keep things interesting, but she is consistently eager to please, receptive to direction and adorably loveable.

We have an amazing whoodle pup from Bonnie Hackett. She was no nice helping me pick the right pup and the pup is so great. His temperament is sweet... rolls over all the time. He's a quick learner- only 15 weeks old and knows how to sit, lay down and fetch. Does his business efficiently outside. Most people stop to pet him because he's so cute and social. He absolutely loves people. He's a little nippy but I think it's just teething. He's also a finicky eater. I think overall, whoodles are people dogs. They just want to play and be friends. His coat is fluffy and soft. He likes to dig and loves to cuddle. He could cuddle all day and all night.

Whooshes are super cute and intelligent dogs that can either be a pleasure to train or a real pain. Since these dogs are rather quite, petty training could be a hassle. Our whole took 7 months to fully potty train which is a bit ridiculous. One breeder at Greenfield let there dog go to the bathroom inside the home which made the dog think it was ok to go inside. Furthermore these breeds are know for being gentle and kind. Our dog has a biting habit and barks nonstop. It is sometimes really hard to deal with but we still love her.

Never owning a dog as an adult, my children begged and begged for a dog. My husband grew up with labs but I did not want the hair and the size of that breed. We all decided a Whoodle would be a great compromise. We purchased from Nancy Fisher through Greenfield Puppies. Our puppy was flown to us in a clean crate that had food and water. We have had our puppy for about six months and her temperament is amazing. She did not really go through a "puppy stage". She is tremendously smart and loving. Not needy at all but accepts all of the affection our family gives to her. Not really a barker until we play with her. She's the best possible dog I could ever have imagined. I never thought I'd tell a dog that I love them but I must be honest - I love her and she is part of our family. Thankful that my children pushed for her - she brings us all a tremendous amount of love and joy!!!
