I've already written 2 reviews .. However ,after reading about the "broken hearted" people who loved and lost their beautiful babies ...l needed to respond again... My heart was broken when l lost my gorgeous Maltese -Shitzu earlier in 2022 . Devastated and vowing never to have another pet ...l saw a "for sale" photo of 4 month old Benji ,and my heart melted . I had to meet him and fell in love immediately .. Holly will never be replaced in my heart ,but this little Malti-chon is healing my heart and l feel it was meant to be .. I am a widowed senior and know that all the crying in the world won't bring a loved one back ...but it can effect your own health. .

After losing my gorgeous 15 year old Maltese/Shitzu " Holly" earlier in the year l seriously didn't think l could ever love another dog... That was until l saw a "for sale photo "of Benji my 4 month old Malti-chon . . My heart melted ... l have only had him for 2 weeks and he is an absolute joy .. He has made my house a home again 🐾 What a beautiful breed they are ..lovely nature and very smart ... He alerted me in a high pitched bark to a blue tongue lizard hiding in the garden ..obviously the makings of an excellent watch dog ..he loves to snuggle up on the couch next and sleeps all night in his playpen ... without a peep... I highly recommend one for seniors on their own ..such as myself .. I'm hoping to have many happy years of companionship with Benji ..

My Rosie and I were best friends. I bought her 11 1/2 years ago and paid very little as she was born with a pink nose(the breeder said she was undesirable because her nose wasn’t black). I had owned St. Bernards and had no small dog experience. Rosie made my adjustment very easy. She was smart and easy to train. She learned how to do tricks very early on and was so eager to please. She could read my every mood. If I was sad she sat quietly with me and I knew just what she was saying when she looked at me. I would say this was by far the best dog I ever had in my life! A year ago she was diagnosed with CHF and sadly last week she was struggling and I had to part with my beloved friend. My heart is heavy. If you ever want to connect with a dog I would definitely suggest this breed. She was truly my best friend. I would give 100 stars if I could!

Wonderful family member- our son Buster is so loving and smart! We got him at 8 weeks and since that day we have been in love.Buster is now 7 years old and we have had zero health problems with him.Recommend chewing treats- hard ones to keep their teeth in good shape- Buster's teeth have been perfect so far, he does like to chew balls, sticks etc...Loves to play catch and fetch and retrieve items, highly trainable- knows many tricks- VERY INTELLIGENT. Enjoys the outdoors the most also chasing squirrels. Very very fast running species. These dogs love to go for long walks or simply be at your side, they are just so happy to be with you. Buster thoroughly enjoys car rides and remembers all of the names of our family and friends, he is phenomenal!Protective of his home and family, he loves everyone he knows.Can be anxious when you leave them- recommend crate training and keeping in the crate if you are away from home so he/she feels more secure.This breed is non-allergenic and non-shedding, although, like any breed, they do lose some of their beautiful coat, regular grooming helps with this. We have had Buster's hair very short in the summer and allowed it to grow all year through the winter, either way, he looks terrific. If hair is kept long, we comb if very often to prevent matting and tangles, also it keeps Buster looking so handsome.A very low-cost breed overall. We give Buster very high-end hard dog food and fresh vegetables or apple as a treat, he loves this.Wants to be loved, cuddle and be close to us, we love this about our Maltichon and are so glad about the decision we made to buy him. Buster is beautiful.

No. I have. Not,, I currently own. a. 9 year old poochon. Who I think. Would do well with a playmate! He loves to play with the younger dogs we come across here in our community. He hates being alone and loves to play. He gets along well with cats and other dogs without an aggressive bone in his body and a full time spayed girlfriend will just fit into the family perfectly!

Our Maltichon is fifteen and a half. She is the most amazing little creature! She is the most loving little bit of wonderful and has been sitting around my neck for most of those 15 years. She loves to sit and look around her domain. I would recommend this breed to anyone who wants a little love to know when your heart is broken and will snuggle up and lick your tears. I know we probably won't have her much longer but Misti has been the best gift my husband has ever given me.

I have a Maltichon, named, Louie. He is four years old. He is truly the light of my life. I have had him for six months, and thank God every single day for bringing me such a perfect pup. Lou, is definitely a perfect example of both breeds, perfectly meshed together. His hair is very pretty, with a mix of both (the hair on his head & ears is that of a Maltese, while his body favors his Bichon side). He walks or "dances" on his hind legs and it's about the cutest, most entertaining thing you'd ever witness! Although he rarely barks, he is quite the watch dog, noticing every foreign sound or person walking up to the house. He is very loyal, and adores his "father" and me. When we leave him with his babysitter, he does back flips and jumps over three feet high when we return. He loves his stuffed, toy carrot and it play tug-of-war with it. I could go on for hours about how perfect, Louie is, and how blessed we are to have him in our lives, so I will finish the list of amazing things, by saying how much of a Love Bug my boy is. He Is always there to greet you when you get home, wether you're gone for 15 minutes or 5 hours! He loves to hop in our laps for a pet, or just to watch tv. His favorite is to have his belly rubbed and he loves to snuggle in bed. That being said, he is perfectly ok with just sitting, close by, on the floor and just hanging out. All in all, he's simply put, a good boy. I want to screem from the rooftops how amazing this breed is. When I hear testimonials from other Maltese/Bichon owners, and think, that's what Lou does! Everyday, I say aloud, "what's the catch??! He's too perfect, who would give him up??!". I forgot to mention how many tricks he does and how quickly he learns new commands. He definitely knows what 'No' means. He doesn't need a leash- he comes when called, although I do use one when we are near a busy road. He loves everyone, especially drawn to ladies right away. He loves to play with other animals, including our roommates two cats and my sisters LARGE Huskie. Good luck and I hope you get tons of love and joy with whichever breed you choose. Remember- animal adoption is in high demand (I am blessed to have adopted my little guy) and there are tons of lovable, amazing pets at the shelters/rescues! Lots of Love, Jen & Louie ??????????????
