I never had a mix but I had two mellow rescue Keesies that were one-bark alert dogs. They were not big on barking once I thanked them for letting me know they did their job. They were friendly with cats and pet birds. They loved being couch potatoes to having a vacation or home adventure in a canoe. They are not for overly neat people as your carpet and you will never be fur free. I bought many grey clothes to hide their hair. Both were excellent with small children and cats. They can be one-person or family dogs and wander from room to room to check on everyone at night. They seem prone to separation anxiety as I had what were called "velcro dogs," and they spent a lot of time with me. They were both healthy except for a bladder stone in one male, which fixed a problem- it wasn't until old age when they had hip and knee problems. A lot of love and loyalty in a medium package.

The cover dog is actually our Keeshond Elkound Mix that we adopted from your site a few years ago. He is the BEST dog ever. Loyal, affectionate, smart and eager to please. A great watch dog. A little vocal at times....otherwise he is perfect. Thank you!!!

We actually are the forever home of the cute puppy in the picture. He is absolutely amazing. Loyal, smart, gentle, loving and affectionate. Barks a little too much every now and then, but keeps us safe. He is Elkhoud/Keeshound and I would recommend this breed 100%
