My daughter was the first one to bring a little firecracker Jug into our family and after almost 2yrs of playing Grandma and babysitting him 3 days a week, we found ourselves increasingly dreading the end of the 3rd day bcuz we knew it would be 4 days until he came back. Thanks to my daughter finding this site we now have our own little "spark plug " who is just as much fun as her crazy little cousin! These dogs are super smart, super sweet and they both love our grandkids and our other dogs! They're out favorites for sure 😉

I have a female Jug, turning 12 this year. Katie can be stubborn at times thinking she is human. Her weight over the years was around 33 lbs. But the end of 2020, she was drinking excessively, not eating. Found she is a diabetic. She now weighs 24 lbs and on insulin twice daily. I was amazed after a few months, she is back to running and playing like a puppy. I have had boxers, Great Dane, miniature schnauzer, French Bull dog. I would still recommend the Jug as a loyal, intelligent dog. Love mine

Jugs are awesome dogs. Great with kids. A good mix of mellow but playful. The jack Russell makes them chase smaller animals if not trained right. Overall the best dog I ever owned. I am looking for another right now.

I adopted “Candy” now Rosie from Chris and Mary Zook in Spring Glen, PA. I loved that they kept the puppies indoors and they were all very sweet, clean puppies. The Zook Family was wonderful to work with. I would definitely go to them again and recommend anyone to them. Rosie is my first dog and I have no words about how much I’ve fallen in love with her. We purchase Trixi from Christian and Mary Zook. We love her so much. She full of life and loves to explore. We have a purchased a boy Jug name Aaron over a year ago and he stole our hearts that we just had to have another and the Zook’s were are first call. There puppy’s and well taken care of and give lots of love. We suggest them to anyone looking for a Jug puppy.

This dog breed Oh my god. This dog breed If you take a pug and hype it up on cocaine, that's what you get and it's the greatest thing ever in the world. Like seriously. If you want a dog that looks like a pug and runs around like an idiot, this is your dog. Not only that, but they will attack you with hugs and kisses, and even watch TV with you until the early hours of the morning. My family has raised full pugs and I decided to take a chance on this mixed breed version and it, and let me tell you, best decision ever. Srsly.If the really loaf of a lifestyle a normal pug has isn't your type, but you love the way they look, get a jug.

My Jug is named Ivy she is one in a million. Very smart lovable and great with my other animals. She is best friends with my Ferrett Baxter. They play for hours at a time it was great watching them get to know eachother. My Ivy sleeps right between my wife and i every night. The best thing about my Jug is,after a hard day at work she is waiting at the door for me to to come in with her tail wagging. Jug's are so beautiful and are a great addition to any family.

I love my 2 year old female jug she's incredibly loyal and extremely intelligent. She gets along great with other dogs, cats, and children. Shes the perfect combination of active and lazy for a young dog. Only barks if someone she doesnt know comes on my property or if shes spooked. If you dont mind vacuuming everyday due to shedding you're in for a wonderful treat

I have never had a dog that could hold my heart like this little Angel. Previously named "Arabel" she now goes by Jupiter. She is hilarious at times. Especially when the fall leaves came down. She is a little ball of energy that has a face that demands that your heart melt as soon as you see her. I am constantly told that she is the cutest and sweetest dog, and constantly have people point her out wanting to pet her. She is very smart and was able to potty train in less than a week after I had her and she is great with my kids and all of my other pets. (Well except for my grumpy 12 year old Tabby). I would recommend this breed in a heartbeat. She has the energy of a jack Russell at times, but that quickly dissipates and she is back snuggling.

I have only and still own one jug,they are very loving and a one person dog. They are very energetic easy to train and very loyal in my experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a loyal loving companion however I believe they are not too kid friendly in my experience with my jug but I love her to the moon and back!!

We have had our jug for 2 years now. He is super smart. He is very loving and craves affection. He is fantastic around people and other animals. We socialized him at an early age and it worked out beautifully. Being part pug, he is highly food motivated, so we watch how much food we give him. However, this has also made training him a breeze through positive reinforcement. Also, being part Pug, he tends to follow us everywhere. My wife refers to him as our " little shadow". I don't mind. We love him so much.

Better then a pug and better then a jack. Healthier then a pug, they do not have the breathing problems of a pug because of the longer snout from the jack and they are not as hyper as a jack. Best of both dogs, curly pug tail, beautiful fawn color, face markings of a pug, smart dog!

I love my Jug! She is very high energy when we are outside, but can relax inside. She is extremely food driven and this causes some problems…. she runs away in search of food and she actually got hit by a car (she is fine, $2,500 later). She tries to behave but sometimes is too smart for her own good and she can be intentionally is sneaky or naughty. She loves hunting and she is pretty darn brave - we hunt mean and nasty groundhogs!

We welcomed a jug puppy into our homes 4 years ago through a breeder we connected through on the Greenfield Puppies Website. I could not be happier with the addition to our family. Our dog, Sugar is fun-loving, well tempered and LOVES my children! She was easily trained and gets along so well with her cousin dogs- which are much larger than her! I would recommend a jug puppy to anyone!
