English Shepherds are the best dogs for intermediate dog owners. They are good by themselves, need lots of exercise (physically and mentally). They get easily jealous when your attention is on another thing and love attention. This breed are good protection dogs to a singular person. My English Shepherd absolutely loves to cuddle and will find any excuse to be able to be by my side all day. He is all smiles and has so much love to give.

we searched for a year before finding breeder 20 minutes from home! adopted Zoey tri-color- she went with us on vacation right away-learned potty training right away VERY SMart dog- she is quiet &loving inside & happiest in yard- not hyper or obsessive like our aussie-Recomend to any family

This breed is amazing I love my puppy Laci. She is the most wonderful dog ever, I hope she will be a good dog. She is black and tan , very good tempered and she is the best she has here strange little characteristics, I LOVE HER!

If you are looking for a hopelessly devoted dog this is the breed for you. Although they are very affectionate to other members of a human pack, they single out one member that is their focus of loyalty. Once trust is established, English Shepherds are extremely obedient! This is the true "Farm Collie" that will go out and herd the cattle, take long walks, or be found waiting by the front door for you to come home. It is a medium size dog (50-60lbs.) with medium length fur. It does shed, but very little.....something I was particularly concerned about. They come in many colors, mostly tri color or black & tan. It is rare, as in my case to find a solid color English Shepherd(she looks similar to a Golden Retriever). In my research, this breed has a 14-18 year lifespan. This breed is unique in my opinion because while it enjoys strenuous outdoor activity, it is just as content to snuggle or sit at your feet. It has strong herding instincts which may be an issue with children. This breed is is only registered through the English Kennel Club to prevent overbred "Designer Dogs" which sometimes occurs through the AKC. This fact sold me because I didn\'t want a beautiful dog at the cost of a high vet bill. They are also rather hard to find because they aren\'t registered with the AKC. I have owned other mixed breed medium/large breed dogs in the past that we\'re true members of the family but this is the breed that has stopped me in my tracks. I will own nothing else but an English Shepherd from here on!
