John David Zook has been a dog breeder since 2001. Over the years he has worked with Jack Russells, Boston Terriers, and his current speciality, the Pug. Mr. Zook enjoys raising Pugs based on their wonderful temperaments and feels they are a speciality breed. Furthermore, John David feels that if you own a Pug once, you will love the breed for life. John is a small scale breeder and pays special attention to the socialization of both puppies and adult dogs alike, a task made easy by the Zook family’s 6 children. Puppies raised by the Zook family are vet checked prior to adoption and can be registered with either the AKC or ACA, depending on the parents. All puppies raised by the Zooks enter their forever homes up to date on all vaccines and de-wormer and covered by a health guarantee.
All puppies sold by John David Zook come covered with a 1-year genetic health guarantee (ask the breeder for details).

We brought our mini aussiedoodle, Charles, home on Sept. 10, 2021 and he is THRIVING. We are so happy we went with this breeder. There are children in the home who form special relationships with the puppies so they seem to be well socialized. We are so happy!

John David was so wonderful to work with. He offered us to come and see where the puppy we purchased was raised. He had us wait until the puppy was old enough to leave. He didn’t ask for any money until we had our travel plans ready. He has a health guarantee and told us to let him know if anything is discovered. Our vet said our puppy was in perfect health. She is such a joy to us. Thank you John David, you made this experience even more enjoyable!

We had been looking for a pug breeder for several months when we found John and Sarah Zook. When I arrived to see my future puppy playing with the family's children I knew... I had found a breeder who loved pugs and cared about the socialization of the pups. We bought our Annabel (formerly named Bailey) in February, and can't imagine our lives without her. She is sweet, snuggly, and often comical. We are now forever a pug family thanks to this wonderful experience. We LOVEEE our Tucker! We can’t thank the Zook family enough! They are incredible. From the moment I called I knew that they were genuine and cared about their pups. They let us come meet Tucker before we were allowed to bring him home. We met his mom and she had an amazing demeanor! In April of 2016 we brought home a sweet 12 week old pug puppy named Ringo from the Zook family (renamed to Pickles). 4 years later he is still as happy, healthy, energetic, and surprisingly athletic as ever for a pug! We have always received boasting compliments on the appearance and charm of our Pickles and he is just the sweetest, well tempered pup out there. We truly couldn’t imagine our life without him and thank the Zook family for helping us years ago meet our perfect family dog match!

We are madly in love with Arthur (Formerly Tucker), our puppy that we purchased from the Zook family. We found Sarah and the Zook family to be wonderful, honest and someone I would be happy to purchase another puppy from. With that said, we very much intend to purchase another puppy from the Zook family when Arthur turns 1. The Zook Family are wonderful breeders. Communication was good. We got to see the parents of the puppy.

Very good breeder. No nonsense. Great communication and easy to deal with. We bought a black pug puppy named Blake who is very socialized. A show quality pug. It is easy to tell the Zooks really love breeding dogs and treat them like family until they go to their forever families. Would definitely recommend the Zooks to anyone who wants a well socialized quality puppy.
