We bought our toy poodle puppy on November 3rd at 8 weeks old. She was very well taken care of and a pleasure right away. She is now 5 months old. She is such a lovely, healthy and happy little girl. I had been waiting for the right time to finally get a puppy companion... The "right time" just never came about. After years of checking in on Greenfield Puppies, I saw the most adorable little Jack-A-Poo, Percy. As always, I thought, "This isn't the right time." Phoebe is the perfect addition to our family. My girls had been wanting a puppy for years and we finally caved. Elmur was an incredible help with the process! Bentley aka Parker! It’s been 4 months since I purchased Bentley from Elmer and I will always recommend Elmer moving forward to anyone. I drove up to Pennsylvania from NY, it was about a 3 hour drive. I kept in touch with Elmer throughout the week after 1st contact and up until the day off just in case there were any delays., He was very responsive and answered all my questions about Bentley. He recommended all the items I would need for the drive back and when I arrived he even gave me food for the the first couple of weeks. When I first called Elmer I did not know what to expect, but as soon as I spoke to him, I felt at ease. He answered all of my questions. We recently lost our Bichon, Buddy and wanted another one. Found Hank, now named Bailey on greenfield puppies.com. Contacted and left message for Elmer Zook, He returned our call later in the day and we made plans to visit and get our new puppy the next day. 90 Minute drive there. Elmer met us in his backyard and brought down our puppy and his mom and dad. All looked very healthy and happy to see us. Elmer gave us paperwork for ACA registration and documentation for puppies shots and free bag of Nutrisource food that puppy was currently on. Elmer answered all our questions and was very polite and seemed to genuinely care about taking good care of all puppies and parents while in his care at his kennel. Puppy got a little car sick from the long drive home, but all is well and Bailey is eating and drinking fine now and making new friends with all our cats. We couldn’t be more happier with Piper our poochon. I contacted Elmer in late June/early July to purchase a puppy for my daughter’s birthday . I absolutely love my puppy I adopted from Elmer Zook 2.5 years ago. My puppy is so kind and good natured and loves his dog friends at doggy daycare and humans. We purchased a West Highland White Terrier from Elmer Zook May 15,2021, Willow now Meadow is beautiful.! We brought Rigby (aka Malcolm) home to Virginia almost 3 weeks ago and can't imagine life without him. He is super sweet, very smart (already learned to sit), and ridiculously adorable. I bought Livi (a Bich-Poo originally named Sheila) from Elmer Zook in September. She is full of energy and just loves life! She loves to go outside for playtime and enjoys going on walks. When my family and I saw her on Greenfield Puppies, we contacted Elmer and asked if we could come see her. When I saw her, I knew that she was the one for me, but our family was going to go on vacation, so Elmer willingly kept her until we got back a week later. This picture is when he was about 15 weeks old. Just under 4 months. He’s been wonderful. No health issues whatsoever and super friendly and social. I will be visiting again this summer to get Percy a playmate. We had such a great experience that our friends went down the following week and picked up his brother. They have had a wonderful experience also. Zero health or social issues as well.

Sophie (previously Sheila) has been the best addition to our family. She is so smart and loving. We could not ask for a better dog. Hi, this is Eddie a Cavashon I purchased from Elmer Zook. He is a great dog, healthy, happy and lots of fun! I would easily purchase again from Elmer as I am extremely satisfied and Eddie is doing great!

We had been missing our wonderful black lab, Lucy, after having to put her to sleep when her cancer became painful and she wasn't eating. The four months since this time have been very lonely without her as our three sons are out of the house and grown.

My husband and I saw a 4-year-old Beaglier 5 weeks ago named Max and we fell in love with him. His owner filled us in on Beagliers and where to go to inquire about Beaglier puppies. This took us to Greenfield puppies and Elmer Zook. I called Elmer, left a message, and received a call back that day. I was told that there was a litter of 8 puppies and that they were 6 weeks old.

We were able to visit all of the puppies the following week and Elmer and his adorable family helped us in picking out our new family member. Elmer was very patient as this was a big decision for us, and he allowed us to take our time. We ended up deciding on a very happy-go-lucky guy named Gulliver who loved to play and also cuddle.

On week 8, we returned back to pick up Gulliver, whose name was changed to Charlie and brought him home with us. Our home is active with Charlie and we laugh at him all the time as he is very social, energetic and adorable. He also loves affection and enjoys being held. He is very smart and has learned how to use the crate, not once soiling it.

Thank you Greenfield puppies for introducing us to Charlie and for bringing happiness into our home. We are forever grateful and will most certainly return when Charlie is ready for a sibling!

Where do I start? My family and I have been searching for a puppy for some time. We visited the local puppy stores and found the prices to be outlandish and the conditions repulsive. It was actually heartbreaking! A nearby store recently closed for selling a sick puppy. Very sad. Here's where our story turns. We found Bubbles on Greenfield Puppies.com. The Bichon-Poodle mix that we adopted from Elmer Zook has been the most loving and fun spirited pup that we have ever had! He adapted instantly to our family from the moment we picked him up. He gets along with all dogs and humans he meets walking around NYC. Additionally, Elmer was most kind and helpful in the process. Would highly recommend visiting Elmer for your next puppy!

Our puppy, Teddy, previously known as Bingo is such a charismatic, playful and loving puppy. Elmer Zook, located in Ephrata, PA, the pet breeder, was kind and supplied all the previous vaccines for our shichon puppy. Teddy also trained very quickly for commands like sit and paw, and we're starting to potty train him. We had a great experience with Greenfield Puppies and we're so happy with our little pup!

We drove up to PA from Florida for a family reunion. On the way home, we surprised our two young daughters by purchasing Gizmo (Timmy) from Elmer Zook in Ephrata, PA.

Gizmo is a cuddly, energetic, & playful Bichon-Poo. He did very well on the long ride home which included several overnight hotel stays. He freely gives puppy kisses to anyone and adores belly rubs. Soon after getting home, we took him to a local vet where he received a clean bill of health. Vet stated breeder had given all necessary shots and de-worming at the appropriate times.

Elmer Zook was very pleasant to deal with. He stayed in contact with us, knowing we were only in PA for a short time. He demonstrated good knowledge of this breed of dog. He adeptly answered all of our questions and provided all appropriate documentation of Gizmo. He gave us free samples of the puppy food he used, which made transitioning to the brand we chose very simple. We strongly recommend Elmer Zook.

My wife and I have been searching for the perfect little brother for our dog for some time. We came across the perfect candidate and contacted Elmer. Mr Zook was very easy to communicate with during the puppy info and purchase process. Elmer was a pleasure to work with he really went above and beyond to help me. I had some questions for him after purchasing my puppy and he immediately called me back and worked it out with me. Not many responsible/reputable breeds would be willing to do that. I am so completely happy with Winston (previously Teal). Elmer's really one of a kind in this industry and he makes it really seamless and easy. What a pleasure it was to work with him and have a great experience.

We had been searching for a friend for our 19-month-old Yorkie. We spotted Stockings (now named Zoey) on Elmer Zook’s page. I called and set up a date for my husband and I to go meet the cute little Yorkiechon. When we arrived Elmer welcomed us into his home for us to meet Stockings. Her personality and eyes won us over. Elmer provided us with the records of her vaccinations and wormings. He was very caring, explained the Greenfield policy, and gave us a sample bag of dog food. Zoey has adjusted to our home very well.

We got Banco (formerly Logan) from Elmer on Dec 22, 2018. Coordinating pickup times with Elmer was very easy and simple. We made our way out to Ephrata to collect Banco and we had a very swift and smooth transaction. Banco had no health or behavioural issues either when we got him. Since joining our family, Banco has proven to be a very loving and energetic dog who loves interacting with people and other dogs. We would recommend Elmer to anyone looking for a furry best friend to join their family.

I've now settled in with my two new puppies from Elmer so wanted to share my brief testimonial and photos attached. I brought home Phog (black and white Shichon, original name Cassie) and Allie (tan Bichpoo, original name Daffodil) on March 26, 2019. They are named for Dr Phog Allen, the first head coach of college basketball at the University of Kansas (in my hometown).

Elmer's family was so kind, honest, and open throughout the process of adoption. I will admit I had serious concerns about puppy mills in that area of the country, but everything really seemed above board for these dogs. Elmer was even willing to let me directly contact his veterinarians so I could have another source vouch for his clean breeding practices. I also appreciated his flexibility as I was unsure if I wanted just one or two puppies, and he helped me facilitate my choice by socializing the two dogs I was interested in getting. Elmer's extra effort paid off because although they are not litter mates, the two are inseparable sisters. You can tell that the dogs are well socialized with people and other animals as they have been very good with all guests and our other pets in the house. In particular, we love that neither dog is "yippy" as many small dogs can be (though this may be a breed-related trait). Both dogs were vet checked and came back clear with no health problems, and they were both right on schedule with their vaccinations. My girls both have their own dynamic personalities, and I really appreciate Elmer and his family raising such great puppies. Phog and Allie are excited for many years to come as sisters!

We had been thinking about getting a puppy and happened to be in the Lancaster area one weekend. My daughter and I saw a puppy on Greenfield Puppies and called Elmer to ask if we could come to visit that day. He called back very shortly and let us know the puppy we asked about was sold, but her sister Blossom was available. Even though he had another family already coming, he said it was fine to stop by. To be honest, I hadn’t fully committed to getting a puppy and it was a sort of spur of the moment decision, but we had done a little research prior on Greenfield puppies.

Elmer was very pleasant to work with – he provided all the necessary paperwork and information on shots. He even explained that the puppy had a pinhole hernia which his vet said should be fine. But said I should have my vet check it out and if it was a problem to contact him and he would pay for any expenses. I felt that was very honorable. He also explained the steps the breeders needed to go through with Greenfield Puppies to ensure the puppies are treated well – as that is often a concern. I truly enjoyed working with Elmer, and as mentioned as this was a spur of the moment decision, I really hadn’t researched him as a breeder beforehand. Once I got home looked him up and saw there are wonderful comments about him and his excellent status as a breeder with Greenfield puppies – which just confirmed the good feeling I had while working with him!

We LOVE Blossom and have nicknamed her “B” for short. She is full of life and enjoys playing (and chewing!) all the time. We had a terrific experience with Elmer and would highly recommend him to anyone thinking of getting a puppy!

We recently lost our beloved Bichon, Buddy. So we searched and found your site with breeders. Found a Bichon that resembled our Buddy. Called Elmer Zook, the breeder, and left message. Elmer is located in Ephrata, PA. He called back a few hours later and we made plans the next morning to visit and get our new puppy. 90 minute drive there. Elmer was very polite and nice and answered every question we had. Let us see the puppies mom and dad and gave us paperwork and free bag of Nutrisource puppy food. The mom and dad and puppy all looked very healthy and happy to see us. The puppy got a little car sick from the 90 minute drive home but ate and drank fine in our home and is already making friends with all our cats. Would def recommend Elmer Zook.
