We bought a 13-week puppy. The breeders were very nice, farm and property very well kept. Two things I didn't like, when I questioned about the up2 date shot record, because my vet wanted shot records, No hand written. When I ask, if i could get a print out he said that everything was good the pup had all his shots. if i wasn't pleased with what they had, maybe I should purchase a puppy somewhere else. i took a chance and bought him. LONG story short, my veterinarian looked at the handwritten records that didn't have the name of shots listed. She suggested starting all over again ..more money have to put out. Just be cautious, if theyre given at home, the Vet will recommend starting over.

We changed Marnie's name to Luna Isabel. She is a delight! A little skittish to begin, but warmed right up to me. Smart as a whip, and playful - so playful! She brought new light into the whole family after we'd lost our boy of 13.5 years. She is still easily startled, but settles right down when we ask her to.The pick-up was painless. The breeder brought the puppies out and we sat on the ground to play with them. Introduced our other dog to Luna, and we all fell instantly in love. The breeders provided a small bag of dog food (enough to transition to a new food, or to just get by for a few days) and a folder with her shots and breeding information. She was kind, friendly, the yard was immaculate, and their farm is well kept.Since the shots were home-given, my veterinarian recommended starting from scratch - so we had to do all the shots again. (My vet is very conscientious and was concerned that home-given shots may not be kept at the right temp, or properly given)After I left with our new baby, I remembered that I had not seen Luna's parents. Totally my fault for not asking, but I wish she had offered. Luna is bigger than I'd expected her to be, as she was less than 3 pounds at 13 weeks - and is over 8 pounds now. Her online description on the ad mentioned parents 8 and 10 pounds, so it doesn't seem abnormal that she'd be that weight, but it surprises me given the size she was when we got her. Either way, Luna is happy, healthy, and we love her dearly!
