Coton de Tulear Breed Review by Pickadill
I love my Grand Coton. Had her 3 years loves to go with me gets passed when she has to stay home. Looking for her a male friend now. She is TO smart. Loves baths but not so much loud noises or blow dryer. She's in what ever I'm in. She's a real nib shti. Lol

What a bundle of joy! They are intelligent, funny, loving, sweet, and playful. Cotons play well with other small dogs. Everyone who sees them will fall in love with them. Their coat is so soft, it does matte so daily brushing is recommended. Also recommend brushing their teeth. Small dogs are prone to dental disease. My sweet boy used squeak his toy and talk back to it. He was 17 yrs and 5 mos old when he passed recently. 5 stars aren’t enough. I give 100 stars.

Currently, have two Coton de Tulars who are 11 and 13, they are super sweet and love to snuggle, overall very relaxed dogs who love to sit on their human's laps. They are both very good with children and were easy to train but are not great with other dogs because we did not socialize them enough. They are both huge mouse/squirrel hunters and have also killed a few of our chickens. Grooming is needed annually, and brushing daily/weekly is helpful to keep their coat from matting. Overall, love them, they have sweet, gentle, smart, and loving personalities who love to be with their owners.

I have always owned large dogs, ie. St. Bernard’s, Newfoundland’s, German Shepherds , etc. The Coton is my first small dog. I’m in love with the little guy. He is smart, loyal, children friendly, beautiful, easy to train, (knows all kind of tricks), has never once gone potty in the house, loves being outdoors and much more. Thinking about getting another one. His name is Sir Derby.

We got our Coton puppy from this site and it was a wonderful experience! The breed really does live up to the description. She is smart, happy and very friendly. She loves everyone and wants nothing more than to be with us. Nice mix of wanting to play and wanting to cuddle. The breed is not for people who are gone alot. She is miserable when not with us!

Have two Cotons and they are very lovable dogs who will curl up next to you on the couch. They love being with their people. They are friendly, happy dogs with the huge benefit of not shedding.

Cotton is a very loveable dog. He is 9 years old and very possessive of my husband and I. Very intelligent but, also has a temper. If he doesn't want to do something he can be a stubborn little boy. I don't want to think about loosing him. On days that I am not feeling up to par, he will make some of the funniest expressions to make me laugh. Cotton is the love of our lives

I look after a coton (Jethro - 7 years old) and have fallen in love with him. I am interested in adopting one. I live in Canada, but right now the dollar is in a bit of a crisis - US dollar $1.00, Can. dollar $1.40. Spending $1,400. calculated with the extra 40% is a wee bit of a burden. I have grown up with dogs and lost my last girl 5 years ago. My birthday is coming up in April and my family want to adopt one for me and have always wanted a Coton de tulear. I am looking for a male.
