Lively, energetic and sweet! Great family pets and make excellent companions. Very kind and sweet but can become irritable if msitreated (like most dogs!) and good idea to socialize it early with other dogs, kids and have get used to grooming. Very smart and curious, health can be a bit finicky at times prone to ear infections and eye desieses. Regular grooming needed, or at least brushing regularly to ensure no matting, can shed but soft silky hair causes it to bunch up in the floor so its easy to pick up.

We have had two Cocker Spaniels and loved them both dearly. We lost one to kidney failure at 14 years and our last to Cancer at the age of 12. They are so cute, sweet and excellent companions ! I have tried for the last 2 years to rescue a female cocker 2-6 yrs old, but have had no luck doing so.

I have had cocker spaniels all my life. I love these dogs. I seen on your website, however, I have a fear of getting any Cocker from Lancaster County. I have both my legs amputated and Liberty Charles was my whole world. I lost him on May 29, 2019. Liberty Charles had a screened patio 15'x18'x15' to go out in which he loved. Liberty Charles was buff color.I certainly need help in securing a Cocker Spaniel. I just want to trust someone to give me advise.

I've owned 4 cocker, and I think they are a wonderful breed. I just lost my Sable (mixed colors) in December. He was sick with cancer, and finally had a severe stroke. I had to send him to doggie heaven then. He was a great dog. My first cocker had alot of issues with his skin, and ears. The others were all on Solid Gold dog food, and they nevery had any problems. I'm a firm believer on feeding your dog a high quality food. Cost doesn't matter to me. Also too ming has to be every 5 weeks. You have to be aware of this going into a cocker ownership. They are worth it.I have one left that is 13. He's pretty healthy. Every yr he gets his shots. Cockers are a wonderful breed to get.

Santa brought me my “first true love!” Left her in a baby carriage for me when I was 6 yrs. old. She was a buff, female, cocker spaniel puppy. I have had another as an adult! They sleep with me in my bed I am now ready for love again. My last “love” I lost at the age of 16. Cockers are loyal and loving, and devoted to those they love!

Our 3 was Buffy who we got in 2000 and we lost her in 2016. They all kept our lives and our children and grandchildrens life full of joy. I think its time to get another friend.

I LOVE COCKERS! My first was a chocolate/white parti male. My current is a Blue Roan male. I don't know if I will ever keep another breed. These guys have both been amazing both for myself and my special needs son. They are high maintenance and have a lot of energy for such little guys. I think it's important for potential new cocker owners to understand Cockers were once a hunting dog and they have the energy levels to verify that. They require a lot of attention and play time, not to mention regular grooming. They are so worth it though!

The love of my life was Angel Sue a parti American cocker spaniel my baby girl passed just last week 4-28-2017.I am giving you my review but my story also hopefully it will help my grieving process.she was the greatest and most smartest gift from God you could ever hope to get.i am a animal lover and I never cared what breed I got .but my boyfriend said we must get a cocker spaniel that they were smart as well as beautiful. Like I said any was alright with me.from the day we brought her home she amazed me.we had her 10years before she got sick .she could do any trick you ask of her and she loved everyone in the 10 years we had her she showed no aggression at all.as my boyfriend would say she had us wrapped .we were her parents as much as parent of any human child.i still can't believe she is gone.so for your review if you are as lucky as I was I would say 100% to cocker spaniel, beautiful loyal intelligent an all-around wonderful I would tell anybody yes get one.for the love of Angel Sue

Cocker Spaniels are a wonderful breed. However please be aware that they are high maintenance. The ears need constant cleaning and attention, and they are also known to have severe skin issues and food allergies. My Cocker is 9 years old and a great dog, but he is on special grain free food and has sever skin reactions if he has an allergic reaction to anything. He is on Benadryl almost all year for environmental allergies, and the vet bills can be staggering! Please just understand what you are getting into and be prepared. If you are prepared for the care and upkeep, then you won't find a better dog. Great with kids and people, a little goofy and stubborn, but a great cuddler too!
