Yes, my Willy BUGG just died about a year ago at 18yr. old. I had him since he was a puppy and loved his clownish ways with his flip over ears. He loved the beach and when I would say, "Do you want to go to the beach?" the head tilting started. He loved music and while riding in the car to the beach he loved when I would turn the radio on and he ooozed happiness. When we would get to the beach, I would say, "We're at the beach" and the head tilting started again. I gave him all Organic food and a scrambled egg every weekend which was a treat for him. I miss him so much. Willy was the kind of dog that I never saw growl, show his teeth or bite anyone. You could probably have taken a steak out of his mouth and he would just look up at you, like "Well what di you do that for?".

I had never known true joy and love until I adopted 2 Bugg sisters. They are loving, eternally playful, and live for lap snuggles. They do love to chew so a multitude of toys is a must. I recommend Buggs to anyone looking for a playful, loving lap dog.

I've owned dogs all of my life and used to work at a vets office. I've owned 2 buggs and I am now a bug man for life. They are fun, but generally lazy and calm unless provoked, and they do not have a mean bone in their body. I have 4 young children who, as toddlers, have poked, prodded, stepped on and generally roughed them up and they have never even hinted at aggression for any of these issues or at anyone else for that matter. Probably not good guard dogs, because they want to be everybody's friend. They are just sweet loving dogs. Also, generally quite unless there is a reason to bark, like a door bell. They want your attention, but they don't demand it and are happy to leave you alone, but even happier if you give them attention. All around they are the best dogs I have ever dealt with. Maybe I was just lucky twice, but when we lose our 12 year old girl, there is no question what kind of puppy we will get next.

I had my Bugg, Zayla, for 11 years. I bought her as a puppy. She was a little tough to potty train, but was a wonderful dog with the best personality and went everywhere without requiring a leash. Zayla seemed to human, listening intently with her head cocked sideways and always wanting to be with us either in the car, sunning at the lake or snuggled up against us on the couch. She passed away from liver cancer in October 2021. Our hearts belongs to the Bugg!

I have a bugg . Food allergies is the only problem I have found with him. I give him a children's probiotic daily, that with good grain free food fixed his problem. He is really loyal with me wherever I go even on motorcycle rides. He rests a lot.

I have had dogs my entire life and never have I owned a better dog. We have had two one is almost 13 and extremely healthy and active and I fortunately we lost our Charles this year at 9 to cancer. A perfect size at 26-30 pounds and the most lovable pups around great for small children and Sr adults alike. Would like to find another to replace the one we just lost but having a hard time finding Bugg puppies right now. Both the Boston Terrier and the Pugs are great dogs big put the together and you will have magic in Bugg

Love this breed. Have had mine for 11 yrs went to Iowa from Ohio to get him. Would do it again in a heart beat. Wife came up with name Cody and it just seem to fit. He has been my baby for the last 11 yrs. he has touched the hearts of everyone who has ever meet him. Recently he has had a rough go of things. On March 2 nd while chasing a ball he broke his front left leg. After 6 hrs of surgery we thought he would ok. But today we learned he has reinsured it and we were faced with a decision to put him down or amputate it. The few years we have left with determined our decision. Tomorrow he will have his leg removed. He is so adorable and such a good temperament we value every day with him! He should be home Thursday I can’t wait. If anyone out there was considering a bugg do it u will not regret it!

I had a beautiful little female Bugg for 11 years. She loved her family, especially the men. She liked to bark like crazy when someone rang the doorbell or when she heard a UPS truck drive by. She was very easy to house break, leash train and didn't chew things up after her 1st birthday. She snored, but had more of a boston face, which I loved. She was good company and is horribly missed. I will be looking for another little female again soon.

As disabled senior citizens, our 7 year old brindle male Bugg is so calm, quiet, low energy and low maintenance that he’s the perfect breed for us. He has short bursts of energy and brings his squeaky toy wanting to play but he also entertains himself. He runs off his energy in the back yard or plays nicely with our cat. She will wait in hiding and jump on his back when he goes by and he’s never mean or aggressive. He’s a happy little guy who often looks like he’s got a big wide smile on his face. He likes to snuggle up closely nestled against us, but like our cat, he has a stubborn, independent side and ignores us at times refusing to come when called. He loves to sleep until 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. and even noon. At night he sometimes goes to bed before us and then refuses to move when I try to reclaim my side of the bed. He never barks unless someone is at the door or pulls in the driveway. I love that he’s a good watch dog. Because of his flat face and nose, he gets easily overheated so I have to limit his time outside in the summer especially if he’s at the dog park and getting overly excited from all the other dogs being there. He will have trouble getting his breath but I just put my hand up to his nose and it can help. It’s like holding your nose when you have hiccups. These little guys will eat incessantly and have a tendency to gain weight easily (like pugs) so you need to limit their food. Our little guy has pancreatitis so cannot have any food with grain and absolutely no human scraps...fat especially makes him sick. If outside a fenced yard and off leash I need to continuously maintain firm control because he is curious and social. If they slowly wander from you or is chasing mice in the furrowed pasture, he gets too far and is so independent and stubborn it takes loud demands to get him back. All in all he is a blessing and a pure joy to have as a companion. We can go to Dr appts and be gone for most of day and he just sleeps, nothing chewed up and no messes in house. The mellow laid back nature of this breed makes him a perfect dog for people like us with limited mobility and energy. Plus I never feel depressed or lonely as he is always ready to give that big smile he turns on when you look at him.

I currently own a Bugg. He is 8 years old and I have had him since he was 8 weeks. He is such a great dog. He learns quick, he is a great companion, and he is so funny. He is the easiest dog I have ever had. He's not a chewer, not a barker, will stay in bed with me and sleep late, and will go to bed before me if he gets tired. I will absolutely have another Bugg

A Bugg is the best possible breed you could invest your time and money in. I currently own 2 buggs, Lucy and Colbalt. They posses the best qualities of both the Boston Terrier and the pug. They are snuggly, low maintaince and just overly happy dogs. I highly recommend a bugg for anyone who is searching for a small, friendly dog that loves everyone and everything!! Happy searching !!

We have a 7 year old Bugg that we raised from a puppy. He is the BEST dog we have ever owned. He swims far out into the river, is an agile fetcher and can hike forever. In addition, he is small enough for the couch and loves to cuddle. A big dog in a little dog body. He is a big bugg and ended up weighing in at a whopping 32 lbs as an adult. He is playful, adores children and will ignore an adult to continue playing fetch in the park with toddlers. Loves to kake eye contact with them and is very gentle. He was very hard to potty train and a bit stubborn. He will take off on you if you let him out on the lawn to pee and don't watch himi and let him know you have your eye on him. He does not come well when called as he is stubborn but you can trick him to come by squeeking a toy. he comes running...other than that, the dog is awesome. Once we neutered him and he got older, he got much better about not taking off right away. he will follow forever at the park though. Loves to swim swim swim. Learned the swimming and fetching from our lab. We need to buy another one and now we cannot find any breeders. our breeder in Iowa has disappeared. Please help!!!
