YES!!! I had a WONDERFUL Anatolian Shepherd Dog! I trained him to be my Service Dog, and because I am a totally disabled veteran with severe mobility problems, Mason was PERFECT for the job. I want another PUREBRED Anatolian/Kangal Dog for my next Service Dog because Mason was such a good dog. He was also a MAJOR lap dog!!!

I had Anatolian shepherd and her name was Danika! She was the be family pet we ever owned. We are still mourning her loss. We would love to own another one just like her, however we can’t find any Anatolian shepherds. We have only ever found her in Pennsylvania Wyatt Greenfield puppies. I wish they would make another Anatolian shepherd! Best breed ever!

Anatolian Shepherd Breed Review by Jozee
Several years ago, I rescued an Anatolian/Husky mix from a Utah shelter and had the adventure of traveling from WA state to pick him up. He was about 4 months old. This was my first experience with this breed....having rescued or owned high-brid wolves for over 20 years before this experience.... I live very rural, had a dog door to a large fenced area, yet he was able to have acres and acres of freedom to roam with our other furry family (2 shepherds and a Malemute mix, all neutered males) when ever I was outside.Although the youngest, Utah assumed he was top dog from day one. Never aggressively, just confident that was his role. He bonded with me and became my protector. (I have no livestock) More than once he warned of snakes while we were out together, a Blessing for me, since I have partial hearing loss. He had minimal exposure to strangers, was never aggressive...but cautious while meeting someone new. As long as I introduced them, he accepted them. He trained easily, was totally devoted, and obeyed incredibly well. He was loving and patient with kids, as well as elderly folks....He chased any small creatures he came across, for fun...don't know that he ever caught any? Howled/Sang with coyotes more often than I liked....but admittedly, had a Great voice....for singing/howling.I would consider another mix breed Anatolian when ready to replace his loss.

We recently (9/2) purchased an Anatolian shep mix/bernese mix and she is a wonderful and loving dog. She loves attention and has been pretty easy going so far. Loves to run and would definitely benefit with a lot of outdoor space/exercise. I would recommend this breed to anyone interested in a large dog.
