I had a black shepherd white Pyrenees mix dog. His body gave out at him at nine years old and had to go to rainbow bridge. He had very bad knees. He had plates put in each of his knees with 10 screws. I loved him so much

Anatolian Shepherd Mix Breed Review by Vickie Cutbill
I bought two brothers from a litter because my Great Pyrenees has spurs on her spine and can no longer protect my chickens. The boys are Anatolian Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, St. Bernard and the mother was pure Rottweiler. So far what a great combo however they are only 16 weeks old but already show how good all the mixes are. Friendly but weary of strangers, never have touched any of the chickens, ducks or geese. Know to be afraid of the donkeys but are curious. Don’t mess with the horses. So far am very pleased with these boys but they will be neutered at 6-8 months as I’m against breeding when so many dogs have to die for no available homes. We have 8 other types of throw and the boys get along great with them. I recommend always getting two as they play with each other constantly and roam the 10 acres together. Inside they sleep in front of a big fan. Florida summers are to hot for them outside. They have a doggy door so they come and go as they please. Very happy with the breed.

3 months ago I rescued a 2 yr old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix from an owner who could no longer keep him. Definitely was a change from the German Shepherds I've owned over the last 40 years. Stubborn, independent, not food driven at all. BUT loyal, loving, great with kids and small animals. Laid back, calm and great in the house, Not for a first time dog owner, but trainable and intelligent.

I loved my girl. She was an Anatolian mix and she was a great dog. She was hard to train as a puppy but with determination we succeeded. She was the best. She would lay out front of the house and stay there not chase anything just watched in true Anatolian style. She was about 100lbs and was a gentle giant and so sweet with young babies. A two year old could walk her and she would not pull or walk fast. She always followed the lead. Best dog friend love ever.

My Anatolian is mixed with Great Pyrenees, he is he most loyal dog I have ever had. He is a great watch dog anyone comes on his property he knows aren't suppose to be scares them off in a split second. They need to start training at a young age they are stubborn and only will do what you tell them when they want to , you need to be strong willed and not give up to train these guys they want to do what they want and nothing else. But overall he is an amazing dog he just turned 3 and is finally getting out of acting like a puppy and calming down!

I know that these pups are an excellent combination. I have a beautiful large German Shepherd. She is what I call a free spirit. I love and respect her personality. I know these pups are highly intelligent and can be an excellent guard dog and also family dog. For me living alone with my girl Lenox that he would be a wonderful addition to my little family. I enjoy spirited and fun loving. With love and nurture, I know these babies are perfect.

Out of all of the dogs that we have ever had, Our Anatolian shepherd-German Shepherd mix is the best! She is very lovable and great with our grandchildren and is very loyal to us. We named her "Danika". Danika was very easy to house train. The very first day that we brought her home, she automatically was trained to go to the bathroom outside. When she had to go and was inside of the house, she would go to the door and cry. If anyone has any information on where we can find more Anatolian Shepherds or Anatolian/German shepherd mix please contact me via Email. Thank you!
